One more week!

Well the last few days have gone by quick!! We had bowling last night and I am sure going to miss the league and all the other players... and especially our teammates! I hope we will still go bowling on the road.
Shear Water returns in the morning and the new girl starts tomorrow. This next week should be SUPER busy. Have got most of our affairs in order, just a few more phone calls.
Ian has been working on the FW - fixing small things (like the water line, we damaged last trip... another day I will tell that story) Then he will drop off next week for the tune-up.
Then just get the stuff at the house packed and organized. Stuff we taking, leaving, selling or give away. Next week - Monday is the work's farewell dinner for me. Friday is my last day. Saturday and Sunday - YARD SALE!!
Then on the 20th we will head up to Brevard county to say bye to friends and family. Then on TUESDAY the 21st... we will hook up the FW and head north!!!

Jan 30 - Feb 6 - RECAP

So it began, (actually back late 2008), Ian was looking into jobs that would allow him to travel... hence we bought the truck and FW.
Well things did not go as planned... until the past few months; co-workers at TC began to get laid off and the jobs were becoming fewer and fewer. Ian began to look into other jobs across the country. Well Monday Jan 30 - it happened Ian was told this was it. I then gave my 2 weeks on Feb 2.
And we have been making plans to get on the road.
First was to get things organized here in FL, including the house. (Will try to sell??)
Next get the FW road ready and packed up! Then either 2/20-21 will start our journey NORTH - not sure where... will keep you posted!!

Bowling League is over....

Well the season is officially done.
We had the End of season party last night at Lonestar.
There was dinner and drinks. We got the final standings... and "The Saints" came out in 8th!! (of 13) There was also trophies handing out and guess what..??!!
(because of my LOW average... I have the HIGHEST handicap!)



We are still deciding about a summer league. Will keep you posted!

Parents coming to visit!

OK I have not done the best with this... the hardest part is remembering my password!! I was going to post last Friday -
To wish my mom a very Happy Birthday!! But could not get logged in...
So the week in review:
Saturday - I had a wonderful (& LONG) day working on the boat. I was the deck hand for the morning trip, then got to dive for the afternoon trip. We didn't get back to the dock until 8pm...
On Sunday, we had Ian's family over for some pool time and BBQ.
Good time was had by all.
As for the week... nothing to exciting- had an oxygen provider class for work on Tuesday night. And no bowling on Wednesday night :(
So now we're at today.. at work we had a 3tank and lunch trip also Shear Water returned. Tonight we will be celebrating my Mom's late birthday dinner and tomorrow I take them to Ft. Lauderdale. They have an amazing vacation in store; cruise ship and train ride. Can't wait to see the pictures when they return!!

Bowling League!!

Another activity we began was we joined a bowling league back in September. It is about to end next month and not sure if we will join another league yet. We have had so much fun and I hope we join again, if not now, again in the fall.
At first it was just Ian and me... but soon our team the "Saints" grew. We had a Realtor lady named Camile. She was there to socialize more than bowl... and missed more weeks than played. We then got our next team member Chris. He and his parents live in Palm City. He is fun and a good bowler!!
For Christmas, we bought ourselves bowling balls (bags were a "free" promotion.) After picking out the balls, the guy took our hand and finger measurements and drilled out the holes, for our custom balls. Next on the list shoes!!
My average is a 92.. most nights I happy when I break 100 at least one of the three games. Ian's is around 130... and his high this year has been 183! Chris' average is about 146. Chris had a great game last week with an over 200 game. With them, I guess their bowling is not steady and their averages have changed during the season. (Both up and down!) Camile she is not with us any more. But now we have Derek, he works with Ian and just recently moved in to our neighborhood. He bowls well most nights and average started out at 101 and is now 110.
Last night I had one of my best nights!! (Ian had one of his worst) I bowled 123,124,99 for the three games.
I will try to get some pics next week to post. We also enjoy bowling on our own too! We have gone bowling while in Orlando and with friends down south.

Universal Studios Annual Pass

For Christmas this year Ian and I got US passes. We have been able to use 3 times now, including this last weekend we enjoyed the Mardi Gras celebration with parades, beignets (not Cafe Du Monde), and concert with "Foreigner."

We went with Melanie and the girls - also Paul and Bobby. Even Tim and Judy joined us too!!


Here are pics from when we went the first time back in December. It was the first time either of us had been at this time of year and the decorations were fabulous! Ian was freaked out by the "WHO" people around.. it was funny.






This was also all of ours first time at the new Wizarding World of Harry Potter!!
I liked the broomstick ride, but it made the boys feel sick!

It's been a while.....

I know I have not been on for quite sometime. Sorry, just busy I guess. Do need to post some pics from Mardi Gras. Other than that not much going on. Just working- diving is starting to pick up, the winds have been blowing too much this spring. SO hope all is well and will try to post more.
