TOO much food!!

With two full days of Thanksgiving- one in Stuart & then one in Merritt Island, way too much food!! But I enjoyed every moment of it. Even got to go on a long canoe trip with my dad in the back country of Ullamay, sorry no pics, forgot water proof housing. Will have some Thanksgiving pictures up later.

Change of plans

Well I didn't go on Shear Water :( but it looks like it may have been a cold rough trip... so maybe better off. The next thing that's NOT happening is our move, well at least not yet.
There are no jobs out there, so we are putting it off until March maybe. Not too disappointed- going to miss winter! It's in the 50s here and I am cold.

So what's next- Thanksgiving not sure of our plans yet; but I know it will invovle lots of food, including a fried turkey, baked mac-n-chz, and pecan pie! YUM!

Well I am going to try to change the layout now- so wish me luck and hopefully you are seing this on a new page :)

What's new?

Well we made to our 1st anniversary- came & went... It was the Monday (10/20) after the camping trip, so we actually spent it cleaning up the trailer and eating leftovers :)

Since then- JASA my diving job moved both the office and marinas!! That was final as of today!! And the boat goes back in the water tomorrow, after 3 weeks in the boat yard.

Halloween we spent at home this year (first time since we owned our house!!) We weren't that busy, Ian's sister and nieces came by two little witches- forgot to take pics, maybe Melanie has some?

This weekend is Racquel's (my boss from JASA) baby shower- Baby Kai, so excited!! She's not due until Feb. 2009

AND the biggest new is I head for the Bahamas again!! This trip is 11/12-11/19 & we looking for the Great Hammerhead!!! Hope to have pics when I get back.

As for moving???? Ian is waiting for a call from New Orleans, if he hasn't heard anything or if no job by time I get back from my trip, we are postponing until March. So I will let everyone know when I get back.... (I am hoping for the later, give us time to catch up and go somewhere better and after the REAL cold weather :)

Hope everyone is doing well!! I miss those who are far and look forward to spending Thanksgiving with my family.

The fun is over- for now!

Well back at work and the FW is back at his parents... but what a fabulous weekend!!! We had a few problems, but all in all a GREAT time was had by all.

Friday & Saturday night sleep overs!! On Friday I had to work until 8p, so everyone was there when I got to the park (along with many more campers for the weekend) We had dinner, then roasted marshmallows and banana boats, and then time to make the beds... his parents slept on the pull-out couch, Melanie and Abigail on the table/bed (which still doesn't work right) and Brianna had her own bed using the 2 rockers face-to-face- and of course our girls in bed with us!! It was after midnight before we got to bed.

I had to work Saturday, but not as early as I thought- so was able to eat breakfast before heading to work- they spent the day mostly at the FW with a trip to Hobe Mountain (observation deck) and the play ground for some swing time :) I got home and Ian had a catfish fry that night with hushpuppies, grits, shrimp and peas- YUM!

The next morning- well 2:ooam that morning I was awakened by the awning blowing in the wind- so we (Ian, myself and his parents) got up to put it back in...
In the morning we had breakfast; biscuits and sausage gravy, eggs, grits, and bacon- Yeah we ate TOO much this trip!!!! Then it was time to dump the galley (kitchen sink) holding tank- it was FULL- so we hooked her up and over to the dumping station we went.... all went well UNTIL pulling out. While checking the trailer- we missed seeing this little stump- Ian drove over then when he tried to reverse it almost took the plastic bumper guard right off!!! After many failed attempts to resolve- Josie was able to locate an extension cord for us and Ian used his saws-all to cut the stump and we were able to back over it.

So on with our day....... canoeing :) Allison and Garry made it up to join us too!! I will let you know now most of the pics from the canoe trip were taken by Brianna herself, she does a good job too, but sometimes gets carried away with self portraits and random stuff- hehe. She also took some of the ones back at the campground.

After canoeing, back to the site for the BBQ and then had to pack up and head back- not forgetting to dump all the tanks (watch out for the stump, Ian LOL)

Overall it was a great first trip and I feel very ready to get on the road and do this full time!! Hopefully will find out this week where we could be going.......Las Vegas, Pittsburgh, Ohio, Texas, who knows??

Our first 5th wheel trip

Well we wanted to check everything out; so Wed. Oct. 15th we headed to Jonathan Dickinson State Park in Hobe Sound, FL. I got there first with the dogs. Wanted to check out the site, see if we would fit... Then I had to wait, took some pics while I was waiting. When Ian got there, he did fairly well parking it. Got it set up- was able to open the windows because the wind was blowing nicely- tried to put out the awning... had some trouble & then the wind was blowing too hard- so put it back up! Then had dinner with his parents- I was so tired that I passed out, even though I forgot our pillows... Slept much better the next night with my pillow! Should have put the air on.. but it wasn't bad. Tonight we are having a BIG sleep over!! and I have Sunday off & we are going to go canoeing and have a BBQ. So check out the pics I got so far and I will update again on Monday (Our 1 Year Anniversary!!) when I am back at work or home. Take care-

Come take a tour

Well we have been working hard, including Ian's mom too! Getting the inisde of the FW all clean and ready to move in. Put some shelf liners down, and got some storage items and began bringing over our stuff. Mostly kitchen stuff, like our wedding gifts- plus we have excess dishes and silverware. Next going to work on bedding and towels. And then clothes (at least the COLD weather stuff, don't really need it down here.)

The album only covers the inside, so check back next week for the outside and "basement" pics. Will also have some updates as we fill her up!!

We picked up the "new home"

Well it's almost time.... we picked up the 5th wheel yesterday!!! Look for pics in the album.

It is parked at Ian's parents- they have a bigger driveway.. and Ian doesn't think it would even fit down our street or in our driveway :)

Will try to get more pics this week- going over Thursday to clean and cut shelf liners; maybe bring over some stuff too!!

House Projects

To catch some of you up... back in the beginning of the year we did some house improvements including; taking down a tree in the front (only because we had to- too close to the water meter) also replaced out garage door (sorry didn't take any "before" pics) and we put down laminate floor in the master bedroom- I LOVE IT!! Enjoys the pics.... we also got the pool deck painted and the pool resurfaced (don't have any pics of that, sorry)

My first Shear Water trip

Back in July I got to go on our live aboard boat Shear Water for a week in the Bahamas!! Here are just a few of the pics from then. All pics taking by Jim Abernethy or Andrew Salloman.

New Truck

Well it's been about a month. We finally decided on the Dodge. We found a 2007 MegaCab with Cummings diesel engine, still on the lot. When I figure out how to add albums I will make them until then they will have to be in the post.

Notice Abigail enjoying the new truck!! We are now looking for the a nice used 5th wheel. And soon we will be on the ROAD!! Going traveling- well Ian will be working but we get to go see some of the US. Maybe heading out to Las Vegas first.

And actually it is almost our FIRST anniversary coming up next month!!!

So I will try to add some things we have done over the past year to catch everyone up.
